Checking in, got the key, it’s about us now!
We were so exhausted. The day did not go as planned, but much like everything else…..nothing ever does. I was so looking forward to this moment! I am so blessed to share my life, my body, and my heart with my husband. A man who I adore and who is also my best friend.
Girl, waiting on my daughter to pick-up her brothers was like waiting on paint to dry. You know it will happen, it’s just taking longer than expected.
Rounding up everything….I got my bottles, my phone charger and my edge control. Lol I did all my washing, packed our bags and dealt with all the excitement from the boys. Once again my husband singing around the house was completely annoying. At this point I am totally fried ….okay!
We did not arrive at the Sheraton hotel suite until late evening. The two day stay at this particular hotel I would rate a 3 out of 5 stars. We came across a few bumps in the road when we first arrived, but after we were given another room things seemed to work out.
Our first move was to pop a bottle and take in the calmness of the moment. My husband suddenly got the urge to get in the pool and I was all for it. I did not realize how sexy my husband was until I seen him attempting back strokes in the pool. Girl, he don’t even know how to swim. It was too cute. We ordered food from the bar and called it a night. What a night it was!!!
With the morning behind us, we thought it would be fun to spend some time together enjoying the lovely downtown Columbus. We started with the motorized Lime scooters that you can rent and ride. If you have never done this, you have to try it! We were on bike trails and rediscovering the Arena district like never before. We stopped at this little spot to get a bite to eat called Boston’s Restaurant & Sports Bar. The waitress was super cool and the food and drink was quick and tasty. Ok, now we got a little buzz, riding the scooters in 97 degree weather and racking up the time. Just keep in mind, the time on the scooter does not stop. We rode all up and down High and Broad Street. We were also able to witness activist protesting the BLM movement. It was like the stuff you see in movies only it was real and I was the leading lady.
Shop til he tells you to Stop! Easton here we come.
This stop was not planned at all. My husband asked where else did I want to go. I really could not think of anywhere. So, I said why not Easton where there is a little bit of everything. I was able to find a cute birthday outfit that I can not wait to step into. It was a little crowded than normal, but we made sure to wear our mask and to keep our distance.
This was ultimately an experience I will never forget! Hanging out late, eating whatever we want, and exchanging fun banter with a few loose words is something I look forward to from time-to-time.
I can not wait to see what my husband has up his sleeves for next year, but for now here is a little a little Tic-Tok For ya!
